Create A Realistic Canvas Shoe

Hi friends, we are happy to be back with another awesome tutorial. Today in this Photoshop Tutorial we will create a realistic looking canvas shoe from scratch. Creating an object from the scratch is really a tough challenge. Here, you can create this canvas shoe with ease, using pen tool and some filters to make it absolutely realistic. Ok now let’s move on to the tutorial.

JEAN TEXTURE

STEP-1   Open a new document with whatever size you like.
STEP-2   Pick the pen tool, or just press P to bring in the pen tool and draw these basic shapes as drawn below. You can trace it.

STEP-3   Now pick any shape and hide the rest. Here I have selected this shape and rest of the other shapes I have hid it.

STEP-4   Once you have selected the shape, change the fill color of this shape to white, then go to filter>texture>texturizer and set the following values as mentioned below.

STEP-5   Now unhide the other shape, set the color code of this shape as # f4c610.

STEP-6   Again go to filter>texture>texturizer and set the following values accordingly as I have done it below.

STEP-7   Now double click on this shape layer to bring in the layer style window and apply the layer style values. Here i have used DROP SHADOW to give some depth to the shape.

STEP-8   Now unhide the other shape, double click on this layer, and apply the layer style values. Here I have used BEVEL AND EMBOSS.

STEP-9   Unhide the other shape, copy the layer style values which we have applied in STEP-8, and paste it in this new shape layer.

STEP-10   Unhide the other shape, as I have done below, change the color of this shape to white, then go to filter>texture>texturizer and set the values accordingly.

STEP-11   Again unhide the other shape, set the background color to any basic blue, go to filter>sketch>reticulation and set the following values accordingly.

STEP-12   Now pick the elliptical shape tool, and draw a shape as I have done it below. Double click on this layer to bring in the layer style window, apply the following layer style values. Here I have used DROP SHADOW, BEVEL EMBOSS, GRADIENT OVERLAY and STROKE.

STEP-13   Once you have applied the layer style values to the shape, duplicate this shape; this shape will act as air ventilation and lace holes. See the image below.

STEP-14   Now press P to bring in the pen tool and draw some shapes as I have done it below. These shapes will act as shoe laces.

STEP-15   Double click on any one of the lace shape, and apply the following layer style value, here I have used DROP SHADOW, INNER GLOW and PATTERN OVERLAY, using these layer style values, will give a realistic look to the laces.

STEP-16   Once you have completed applying the layer style value to the shape, copy this layer style values, to do that right click on this layer and select the option copy layer style below, now paste this layer style to the other lace shapes. This is how it will look.

STEP-17   Now this step is very important, because this will give the desired outcome to this shoe. Download and bring in the jean texture.

STEP-18   Exactly cut the texture to fit in the upper shoe part. To do that, select the jean texture and CTRL+CLICK on the red colored shape, press CTRL+SHIFT+I to inverse the selection and press delete, to cut off the remaining texture. This is how it will look.

STEP-19   Press B to bring in the brush tool, then again press F5 to bring in the brush preset palette, and set the following brush attributes as mentioned below.

STEP-20   Now create a new layer at the top of jean texture layer, pick the pen tool, at the option bar select the option paths, and now draw the path as I have drawn below. Once it is done right click on this path, select the option stroke, stroke path window will appear, in that select the option brush and press ok.

STEP-21   Create similar paths following the steps mentioned in STEP-19 and STEP-20.

STEP-22   Now double click on this paths layers, layer style window will appear, apply the following layer styles values. Here I have used DROP SHADOW and BEVEL EMBOSS. This effect will give some depth to the thread, finally making it to look like stitched thread.

STEP-23   Now group all these layers, here using the default dodge and burn tool we will give some shade effect to each and every shape.
STEP-24   Pick the burn tool with default values, and brush it accordingly.

STEP-25   And finally add some logos to the shoe.

That’s it friends, we have completed the tutorial. This is final preview of the image.
