Create an uniquely styled web template

Hi friends, Viewers are bored of looking at conventionally designed web templates which always starts with a header, followed by a banner which has the navigation bar and then the contents part having some images and finally ending with a footer again carrying the links. So, here comes tutsfriend with one more Photoshop tutorial in which we are going to see how design an uniquely styled web template.

Step 1: Open a new document of size 600 px X 800 px with black color background and 72 ppi resolution.

Step 2: Download any abstract/bokeh background place it inside the current like this.

Step 3: Select the rectangular marquee tool and make a selection like this.

Step 4: Fill any color inside this rectangular selection.

Step 5: Press ctrl + t to switch on the transform controls then right click and select the skew option from that and skew it like this.


Step 6: Place the white skewed rectangle below the bokeh background.

Step 7: Right click inside the bokeh background layer in the layers palette and choose create clipping mask option.


Step 8: Select the white skewed rectangle layer and apply the following layer styles.


Step 9: Create a new layer. Select the elliptical marquee tool and make an elliptical selection like this and fill black color in it.


Step 10: Goto Filter -> Blur -> Gaussian blur and apply the following settings.


Step 11: Press Ctrl + T and rotate it like this and place it as shown in image. Take a copy of that layer and place it like this.


Step 12: Take the text tool and type some text like this and rotate it and place it like this.

Step 13: Place your company logo, company name and tagline.

Step 14: Place some more text like this.



Step 15: Choose the custom shape tool and select this arrow mark and create arrows like this.
