Create A Transparent Clock

Hi friends, its always wonderful while creating a 3D object in Photoshop, especially when it comes to icons it will be better. Today in this Photoshop Tutorial we will be creating a transparent clock icon in easy steps. Here we have used mostly drop shadow and opacity levels to make this happen. This is a very simple icon design with the use of layer style we will create this. Ok now let’s see how to create this cute looking clock icon.

WALL TEXTURE

STEP-1 Open a new document with width and height of 500 pixels respectively.

STEP-2 Download and open the wall texture and place it accordingly.

STEP-3 Create a circle using marquee tool, let the fill colour be # 0dd9e6.

STEP-4 Double click on this layer and apply the following layer style values. Here i have used DROP SHADOW, OUTER GLOW, INNER GLOW.

STEP-5 Create another circle at the centre of the clock frame, fill it colour # 0ddae6. Apply inner glow as i have done here below. Once it done set the opacity of this layer to 24%.

STEP-6 Now using the text tool type the numbers and place it accordingly. Set the fill opacity of these numbers to 24%. Select any one of the number, double click on it to bring in the layer style window and apply the following layer style values. Here i have used only DROP SHADOW. Once done copy the layer style of this text layer and paste it on other numbers too.

STEP-7 Now we will create the hour and minute stick. Pick the rectangle shape tool and draw two shapes as i have draw below, with the color code # 0dd9e6. Now double click on any one shape and apply the drop shadow. Once it is done copy and paste the layer style to the other shape too. Set the fill opacity of this layer to 24%.

STEP-8 Create some shapes as i have done here, copy and paste the layer style of the previous step.

STEP-9 Finally select the rim of the clock, that is the first shape with which we started set the fill opacity of this layer to 25%.

That’s it friends, we have completed this tutorial. This is final preview of the image.
